But there is no reliable, confirmed count of their grandchildren as of October 8, 2026. The latest pregnancy update established in the available reporting is also date-specific: on September 1, Parade reported that Joy-Anna Duggar was the only family member to have publicly announced a pregnancy.
What the Duggar family says about its size
On its Meet Our Family page, the family describes Jim Bob and Michelle’s household this way: “We have been blessed with 19 children (10 boys and 9 girls), our nephew Tyler, sons- and daughters-in-law, and new grandchildren arriving every year!” This is the family’s own introduction, not an independently audited demographic count.
The statement confirms that the family continues to welcome grandchildren, but it does not give a current total. An exact number of living Duggar grandchildren as of October 8, 2026, is not established by the sources available for this update. Informal online tallies conflict, so they should not be treated as definitive.
Which Duggar family members have announced pregnancies?
On September 1, 2026, Parade reported that Joy-Anna Duggar was the only family member who had publicly announced a pregnancy at that time. That is a snapshot from the date of the report, not confirmation of the family’s pregnancy status on October 8 or after. Announcements and births can change the picture, and later rumors or fan speculation are not confirmed news.
