There is no well-supported, comparable ranking of the Cheers cast’s current net worth in the available sources. Celebrity-wealth figures often circulate online, but without transparent, consistent evidence for each actor’s assets and liabilities, a numbered list would make speculation look like fact.
Why a reliable net-worth ranking is not available
Net worth is the value of a person’s assets minus liabilities at a particular time. Establishing it would require comparable information about both sides of that calculation, along with a clear valuation date and method. The sources available here do not provide that evidence for the Cheers cast, so they cannot substantiate a current ranking or verified dollar amounts.

Online estimates should therefore be treated as unverified claims, not as audited financial disclosures. Unless an estimate identifies its publisher, date, evidence and method—and applies comparable standards to every person—it cannot reliably show who is wealthier than whom.
What the public record does establish
Cheers ran from 1982 to 1993, spanning 11 seasons and 275 episodes, according to Smooth Radio’s 2022 retrospective. The retrospective identifies Ted Danson as Sam Malone and Shelley Long as Diane, and describes selected later career work. Those credits offer career context, not evidence of present-day finances.

The Television Academy’s 2016 account says the program received 117 Emmy nominations. Its Ted Danson record lists nominations across Cheers and later series and marks two wins in the listed record. These awards document recognition; they do not disclose earnings, assets, debts or net worth.

A defensible cast-wide financial comparison would need a shared valuation date, a consistent definition of who counts as cast, and credible, comparable information about each person’s assets and liabilities. Public career credits, awards and longevity can be compared when properly sourced, but they are not substitutes for those financial records.

For that reason, the responsible answer to “ranked” is that the evidence does not support a ranking—not that the actors have equal wealth, nor that no estimates exist anywhere. A list of unsupported figures would imply a level of certainty the cited public record does not provide.
