The principal cast of Mythic Quest includes eight familiar faces, but the clearest links to earlier work are David Hornsby’s role as Rickety Cricket on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Ashly Burch’s work in web comedy, animation and video games. Here’s what viewers may recognize—and which performers’ earlier credits are not established by the sources cited here.
The principal Mythic Quest cast
Mythic Quest is an Apple TV+ series. Apple’s cast listing names Rob McElhenney, Charlotte Nicdao, David Hornsby, Danny Pudi, Ashly Burch, Imani Hakim, Jessie Ennis and F. Murray Abraham. [Apple TV Press] Ubisoft’s announcement also identifies the series and its Apple TV+ home. [Ubisoft]
The most specific earlier-role connection documented for the ensemble is David Hornsby’s. Ashly Burch has a broader mix of recognizable work across comedy, animation and games.
David Hornsby: Rickety Cricket on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Hornsby plays David Brittlesbee on Mythic Quest. Many viewers may know him as Rickety Cricket, the recurring character he plays on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. A 2020 Los Angeles Times profile explicitly makes that connection while discussing his Mythic Quest role. [Los Angeles Times]

Ashly Burch: from web comedy to games and animation
Burch plays Rachel Meyee. Her earlier work spans several formats, so a viewer might recognize her from a sketch series, an animated voice role or a video game rather than from one defining screen character.
Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin’?
Burch made the comedy web series Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin’? with her brother. In a 2025 interview, she said the series, together with her voice work and work on Adventure Time, helped the Mythic Quest team become aware of her. [Tom’s Guide]
