Here are six useful facts about the season, its returning family, the storylines We TV promoted, and the platforms named when it launched.
1. Season 2 is the second season of a series that began in 2024
We TV launched The Braxtons as a new series in August 2024. Its first season premiered on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 9:30 p.m. ET, according to the network’s July 2024 announcement. The October 2025 premiere was for Season 2, not the show’s original debut.

2. The returning family members are Toni, Towanda, Trina, Tamar, and Ms. Evelyn
We TV’s official series overview names Toni, Tamar, Towanda, Trina, and their mother, Miss E, as the family at the center of the show. Traci remains central to the series’ emotional premise: the network says the family reunites two years after her passing to honor her wish that her sisters stay close. Traci is part of the story and legacy being discussed, not described as a returning cast member.
3. Towanda’s wedding is a major Season 2 storyline
We TV’s September 2025 premiere announcement frames Towanda’s wedding as a gathering point for the family. The season’s official guide lists wedding planning in earlier episodes and the ceremony among its later events. It also presents the wedding alongside unresolved tensions and efforts at healing, rather than as the season’s only focus.

4. The season mixes family tensions with work and health storylines
The network’s preview promotes medical emergencies, confrontations, a public scandal, and career wins. Those are the show’s advertised storylines, not independent reporting that verifies the underlying personal events. The episode guide gives more specific examples: Tamar works on her podcast and tour preparation; Toni takes on producing and performance work; Trina pursues real estate and navigates family health concerns; and Towanda balances wedding plans with other challenges.
The first season had also followed individual career and personal threads, including Toni preparing for a Las Vegas comeback, Trina beginning PTSD therapy, Towanda dealing with alopecia, Tamar’s wellness journey, and Ms. E’s cooking-show ambitions. Those details come from the network’s program description, not medical reporting.
5. The announced Season 2 viewing options were We TV, ALLBLK, and AMC+
The season’s final premiere announcement listed We TV for the broadcast premiere and ALLBLK and AMC+ for streaming. Those were the platforms named at launch; the announcement does not establish which services carry the season now, or availability in every country. Check the current catalog for your territory before subscribing. We TV’s series page also lists viewing apps for Fire TV, iOS, Android, Apple TV, and Roku; an app listing does not guarantee support for every device model.
6. The official guide lists eight Season 2 episodes
We TV’s episode guide lists eight installments, moving from new career plans and old family wounds toward Towanda’s wedding and a Malibu retreat.

What We TV said about the show’s audience
In its March 2025 renewal announcement, We TV said Season 1 became its most-watched Season 1 original series upon debut and ranked second among Black audiences ages 25–54. The network did not provide audience totals or methodology in that announcement, so this is a network-reported ranking rather than an independently audited statistic. The same release quoted Brett Dismuke, Head of Content for We TV and ALLBLK: “The Braxtons helped create a new genre by being one of the first families to open up their lives and authentic selves to the world on television, and they’re still doing it,”
