Grace Mallory
At the safe house, Mallory tries to stop Ryan from leaving. During their confrontation, she tells him the truth about Flight 37 and Homelander’s assault on his mother, Becca. Ryan pushes Mallory into a concrete wall; the resulting neck injury kills her. The revelations intensify the confrontation, but the immediate cause of death is Ryan’s push.
Victoria Neuman
Neuman is at a safe house with The Boys and her daughter, Zoe, when Butcher arrives after injecting himself with Compound V. His new abilities let him overpower the group and tear Neuman apart before she can use her head-popping power.
#1 Best Overall
- The world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under Homelander's muscly thumb as he consolidates his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca's son, and his job as The Boys' leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they must find a way to work together and save the world before it's too late.
Vought employees targeted
Homelander orders the remaining Seven to kill Vought employees who will not back his “Supe first” cause. TechRadar identifies CEO Ashley and an assistant called Also Ashley among those targeted. The finale does not establish a complete body count, so these killings should not be treated as a full accounting of everyone who dies.
What happens to the presidency?
Neuman’s death appears to disrupt Homelander’s political plan, but Sister Sage returns and says events are unfolding according to her plan. She leaks footage from the presidential bunker showing President-elect Robert Singer berating The Boys for failing to assassinate Neuman. Singer is arrested, and Senator Calhoun becomes president after the 25th Amendment is invoked. The finale presents Calhoun as a figurehead, with Homelander wielding power behind him. TechRadar reported this political turn on July 18, 2024.

What happens when Ashley injects Compound V?
Ashley learns she is on the list of Vought employees to be eliminated. She gets Compound V from Homelander’s quarters and injects herself. The episode cuts away without showing a transformation or identifying any resulting power. Her abilities are unknown at the end of season 4.

Yes. In the mid-credits scene, Homelander and Calhoun enter a restricted underground area and find Soldier Boy alive in a cryogenic chamber. The scene confirms his survival and cryogenic storage; it does not show him waking or choosing a side.

TVLine’s July 18, 2024 report also quotes Homelander actor Antony Starr describing the reunion as a conflicted moment. Starr said he wanted Homelander to know what he was about to see, but then have to face the reality of seeing the father who had wanted to kill him. He said he did not want to take the moment further by deciding what it meant for the character.

What does the finale leave unresolved?
- Ashley’s powers: Her injection is shown, but its effect is not.
- Homelander and Soldier Boy: Homelander’s reaction does not confirm whether he will seek Soldier Boy’s help, kill him, or try to reconcile.
- Soldier Boy’s role: His survival is established, but his next move is not. Eric Kripke previously said the series would not end without Soldier Boy appearing again; that earlier intention does not establish a particular future-season plot.
