The sighting came shortly after viewers saw Kylie leave the show following a tense exchange with host Scott Cam. It confirms they appeared at the same event; it does not establish that their dispute was resolved or reveal their relationship status today.
What happened at the Melbourne Cup?
PerthNow reported that Kylie and Brad attended the Melbourne Cup at Flemington with other members of the 2024 The Block cast. The outlet said the appearance was on the Monday before its 5 November report, two days after viewers saw Kylie’s dramatic exit on the program. The public sighting drew attention because it followed the couple’s recent on-screen conflict.
PerthNow also noted that Kylie had blonde hair at the Cup, contrasting with the neon green hair she had worn on the show. That change was a visual detail, not an indication of what had happened between the couple.
What led to Kylie’s exit from The Block?
Nine’s coverage described a dispute connected to Brad’s flirtation with fellow contestant Mimi and comments Kylie overheard. Brad acknowledged flirting on camera, and Kylie was upset by what she heard. The conflict culminated in Kylie leaving the production and travelling to Cairns.
After Kylie left, Brad told the cameras, “I’d very much say that I’ve just single-handedly destroyed my family,” according to Nine’s account of the broadcast. The quote reflects his on-camera reaction at that point in the season; it is not evidence of the couple’s current circumstances.
Did Kylie return to finish the renovation?
Yes. Nine reported that Kylie later returned to complete House 4. Her return was not presented as proof that she had forgiven Brad or that the couple had reconciled. In episode coverage, Kylie said that speaking with Brad did not mean she was okay, and the pair were described as “single people” at that point in the show.

Does the Cup sighting mean Kylie and Brad are still together?
No conclusion about their present relationship can be drawn from the 2024 sighting. PerthNow reported that they were seen together at the event, while Nine’s coverage described the tension between them during the season. Neither account establishes whether they are together now or whether the underlying dispute was resolved.
