The price is a reported purchase figure—not a verified current valuation—and the home’s much-discussed pre-renovation interiors should not be mistaken for a reliable description of what it looks like today.
What was reported about the purchase?
Vanity Fair reported in 2022 that Trump and Kushner bought the property in April 2021 for $24 million. The publication described it as a six-bedroom home of roughly 8,500 square feet. Vanity Fair’s account is a report of the transaction; the deed and current title record have not been independently confirmed here.
The $24 million figure describes the reported 2021 purchase, not an appraisal or present-day market value. Realtor.com also reported the purchase price in its 2021 coverage, which described the estate as covering 1.26 acres. Realtor.com’s property report gives the acreage and grounds details.
What is the estate like?
According to Realtor.com’s 2021 description, the 1.26-acre property has landscaped gardens, reflecting pools, a resort-style swimming pool, and a large dock. Together, those features make it a waterfront estate rather than simply a large house; the publication’s account does not establish that every feature remains unchanged after renovation.

The home’s earlier interior was described in reporting as French neoclassical, with arched windows, domed ceilings, chandeliers, and a grand staircase. These are pre-renovation descriptions, not a verified inventory of the present interior. Realtor.com later reported that the house was gutted after the sale, and Bloomberg described the property as renovated in January 2024. The available reports do not establish the exact renovation scope, completion date, or current design.
Why is Indian Creek called the “Billionaire Bunker”?
“Billionaire Bunker” is a media nickname for Indian Creek Island, not a formal designation and not a description of the house itself. Vanity Fair characterized the island as gated and guarded. Realtor.com’s 2021 account described Indian Creek as a 300-acre community with 36 home sites, an 18-hole golf course, and a police force. Those figures and characterizations are publication-reported descriptions, not independently updated municipal data.

The nickname points to the island’s exclusivity and controlled access. It does not establish the security arrangements at the Kushner-Trump property, and details of private security at the home are not verified in these reports.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What is known—and not known—about the home today?
Later coverage supports the broad conclusion that the home underwent substantial renovation, but it does not provide a complete, current specification. Realtor.com reported a $15 million mortgage in 2024; that figure has not been checked against a mortgage record. The sources also do not establish the present owner of record or a current valuation. Accordingly, details about the purchase and the estate should be read as reported historical coverage, not as a live property record.
