Jenn offers a vision of a future together, but that reassurance does not settle his fear that he is only one of several men she might choose. The August 26, 2024, episode follows that mismatch through Jenn’s dates with Jonathon and Marcus, then ends before Devin’s attempt to talk with her reaches a resolution.
Devin and Jenn are at different points in saying “I love you”
In this Season 21 fantasy-suites episode, Jenn arrives in Hawaii with three relationships at distinct stages. Devin has already told her he is in love and wants a future with her. Jenn says she sees potential and is moving toward those feelings, but she has not said the words back. His distress grows from that difference in certainty and timing—not from a newly revealed betrayal.
Devin’s overnight brings reassurance, but not the words he wants
Jenn and Devin’s Hawaii date includes a helicopter ride and a conversation about their future. They enter the fantasy suite together. The next morning, Jenn is affectionate and says she can see a future with him, but she still does not return his declaration of love.
Us Weekly reported that Devin said he had been waiting for reassurance and had not slept well while worrying about the relationship. For him, Jenn’s future-oriented reassurance does not answer the more immediate question of whether she shares his feelings now.

Jonathon’s date gives Devin reason to fear Jenn’s feelings are divided
Jenn’s date with Jonathon includes shopping, donuts and a waterfall picnic. They talk about family and culture, spend the night together, and wake up smiling. Jenn comes away feeling optimistic about the relationship.
That positive date forms a contrast with Devin’s unresolved need for affirmation. The episode shows why he worries that Jenn’s attention and feelings may be elsewhere, but it does not establish that she has made her choice.

Marcus is uncertain even as Jenn says she loves him
Jenn is ready to tell Marcus she loves him. Marcus, however, says he is unsure and not comfortable saying he is in love or proposing. Jenn tells him she loves him anyway. He becomes emotional, says he wants to keep trying, and accepts her invitation to spend the night.
The exchange is neither a clear rejection nor a full reciprocation. It leaves their relationship uncertain in a different way from Devin and Jenn’s: Marcus is the one struggling to offer commitment, while Devin is waiting for Jenn to match his declaration.

Devin tells Jesse Palmer he feels like one of several options
While Jenn is with the other men, Devin talks with host Jesse Palmer about the pain of not hearing “I love you” back. As Us Weekly reported his words, Devin says: “I don’t feel like I’m The One. … I feel like I’m ‘One of’ and that hurts.” He is upset and says he is struggling.
Devin then goes to Jenn’s door to speak with her. The episode cuts before their conversation is resolved, so it does not reveal what she says or what happens next.
