Fans also accused the show of manufacturing suspense around Grant’s decision, but the available evidence does not establish that producers interfered with his final choice.

The finale, titled “Finale and After the Final Rose,” aired March 24, 2025, and concluded in the Dominican Republic, according to ABC’s episode listing.
Why did viewers call Grant a heartbreaker?
The label is an interpretation of a painful finale breakup, not evidence of a broader pattern in Grant’s relationships. In its account of the episode, ABC News reported that Grant told Litia, “I hope you don’t view me any differently.” Litia answered, “Well, I do for sure. Come on now.”

In an ABC News interview on March 25, Grant acknowledged that viewers would have opinions and asked them to empathize. He said, “I empathize with Litia. Like, I can admit my wrongs. But I went in there searching for my person, and I found it.” The exchange and his comments document how the finale landed; they do not, by themselves, support calling him a heartbreaker as a general character judgment. ABC News’ finale interview and account provide the statements.
Did producers interfere with Grant’s choice?
Some fans accused producers of manufacturing drama after promotional material portrayed Grant as uncertain about which finalist to choose. That is an accusation about the promo’s framing—not proof that producers dictated his decision or fixed the result.

ABC’s official materials describe Grant as torn between the two finalists and seeking advice from his parents. Those descriptions establish how the network presented the episode, but they cannot establish whether his uncertainty was genuine or shaped by editing. The available reporting does not resolve that question or substantiate interference in his final choice. The accusation appeared in an IMDb-hosted excerpt of ScreenRant coverage; the page did not provide full access to the underlying report.
What happened to Grant and Juliana after the finale?
Grant and Juliana later ended their relationship. ABC News reported their separation on June 13, 2025. Grant described them as “simply not the right fit” for a long-term relationship, and Juliana said they had decided to continue on separate paths. ABC News’ report on the breakup quoted their statements.
