The introductions mixed playful gestures with personal conversations. Among the props and surprises were a bedazzled basketball, heart-shaped pizza, a cannoli, a “Mrs. Ellis” sash, and Alexe’s no-drama llama, Linda. The episode also made room for more serious family stories: Grant spoke about his relationship with his father, while Carolina shared feelings about her parents. Entertainment Weekly’s January 27 recap covered both the lighthearted arrivals and the more vulnerable exchanges.
Who kissed Grant on premiere night?
Allyshia and Juliana shared early kisses with Grant. He also kissed Litia, Alexe, Vicky, Zoe, and Rose later in the evening. These are moments shown in the premiere, not a reliable ranking of who had the strongest lasting connection.

Carolina hesitated when a kiss came up, and Grant respected that rather than pressing her. The exchange stood out as a moment of mutual comfort and clear boundaries amid a first night designed to move quickly.
Who received the First Impression Rose?
Alexe received Grant’s First Impression Rose. Grant and host Jesse Palmer announced that she would also get the season’s first one-on-one date. Alexe’s llama, Linda, had been part of her arrival, but was a guest—not one of the contestants competing for a rose.

What the premiere established—and what it did not
The opening episode introduced Grant’s stated hopes for marriage and family, the contestants’ first impressions, and the season’s initial rose decisions. It also showed personal conversations and moments of physical affection, but a premiere edit cannot establish long-term compatibility or predict the season’s eventual outcome.
For viewers deciding how to rate Grant’s first night as Bachelor, the clearest markers are the conversations, how comfortable people seemed with one another, and the rose ceremony—not a handful of first-night kisses alone. Who are you rooting for?
