When did Season 3 premiere?
Season 3 premiered on SYFY on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, according to the network’s June 18, 2026 press release. That date has passed. SYFY’s official show page listed episodes through S3 E11, “A Pretty Nasty One,” as of October 8, 2026.
What is Season 3 about?
The story picks up after Ark One’s survivors establish Homebase 1 on a planet. Captain Sharon Garnet and some of the crew return to space in hopes of finding other survivors from Earth; those who stay behind explore the new world. An unsettling discovery at the colony raises questions about the planet’s secrets and safety. The season’s official description sets up two strands: space missions and life at Homebase 1.

The setup follows the Season 2 ending described in SYFY’s renewal coverage: the survivors had established a planetary base, while Garnet took a crew into space to respond to distress calls from lost Arks.
What have the creator and cast said about the season?
Dean Devlin on combining two story ideas
In a Space.com interview published July 29, 2026, creator Dean Devlin said ideas once discussed as two separate shows—one about the colony and another about rescue missions—were combined for this season. He said that approach expanded the locations, cast and adventures. Devlin also described visual-effects teams working in Serbia and Los Angeles; those are his interview remarks, not independently audited production figures. He characterized the season’s mystery as larger than before: “The Ark always has had a mystery element, but this year the mystery box is enormous.”

Christie Burke on Sharon Garnet
Christie Burke, who plays Garnet, told SYFY Wire on July 28, 2026 that the season explores the captain’s identity and gives characters more individual storylines. Burke described Garnet’s arc this way: “In season three, we see a leader go through an identity crisis.” That is a preview of the character’s direction, not a synopsis of how her story ends.
Who is in the Season 3 cast and creative team?
SYFY’s season announcement names Christie Burke, Reece Ritchie, Richard Fleeshman, Pavle Jerinic, Stacey Read, Ryan Adams and Tiana Upcheva as stars. Shalini Peiris, Samantha Glassner and Diana Bermudez are also listed in the cast.
