Apple announced that Ted returns to Richmond to coach a second-division women’s football team, whose players learn to take chances. Its announcement listed Hannah Waddingham and Juno Temple among the returning cast. Apple’s Season 4 announcement gives the release schedule, premise and cast details.
Are Rebecca and Keeley back?
Yes. Apple’s season page identifies Hannah Waddingham as Rebecca Welton and Juno Temple as Keeley Jones, confirming both characters’ return. Their presence gives the series room to revisit their connection, but a returning cast member is not, by itself, confirmation of a particular storyline or scene.

Does Season 4 pay off Rebecca and Keeley’s story?
Apple’s published synopsis and cast information do not specify a Rebecca-and-Keeley story payoff. The accurate update is that both characters are back while the official description centers on Ted’s new coaching challenge. Any claim about how their shared story develops needs to be grounded in what the released episodes actually show, rather than presented as an announced plot point.
The season’s return also follows a change of direction for Ted. In a July 2026 preview, ABC News reported that Jason Sudeikis had previously felt Ted’s story was complete after the character returned to Kansas City to be with his son. That provides context for the revival, but does not establish details about Rebecca and Keeley’s arc. ABC News’ Season 4 preview discusses Sudeikis’s comments and the season ahead.
