AAA24 can make a thoughtful last-minute gift for a movie lover who is specifically an A24 fan and lives in the United States. The digital membership is available to buy online, while A24 says a welcome pack with a zine, stickers, and a membership pin will be mailed afterward; it does not give a delivery estimate for that pack. The membership renews automatically, so it is best suited to a recipient who will use its A24-specific perks and is comfortable managing a subscription.
What an AAA24 membership costs and includes
A24 currently lists two billing options: $9.99 per month or $99 per year. A24 says membership is limited to US customers. Prices and availability can change.
| Benefit | What A24 lists | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Movie tickets | One ticket to each A24 movie playing in theaters on opening weekend nationwide | Subject to theater capacity, eligible films and other exclusions; A24 determines which dates count as opening weekend. Redeem in the A24 App. Tickets cannot be transferred, resold, cancelled, or exchanged. |
| Monthly credits | $5 per month for eligible A24 Shop or App purchases | Credits accrue up to a $25 balance, have no cash value, and are nontransferable. Unused credits are lost when membership ends or is paused. |
| Birthday gift | A selectable free gift | Requires at least one paid month; limited to one per calendar year and must be redeemed within seven calendar days after the birthday. |
| Shop discount | 10% off the A24 Shop | See A24’s membership terms for applicable conditions. |
| Zines and welcome pack | Zines ship four times a year; the welcome pack includes the latest zine, stickers, and a membership pin | The welcome pack is mailed, and A24 does not state a delivery estimate on the membership page. |
| Merchandise | Exclusive merchandise and early access to limited-edition goods | Access and availability may vary. |
| App content | Director commentaries, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and other extras | A24’s app also offers rentals, purchases, interviews, and bonus features; membership benefits are subject to the app and membership terms. |
| Other member experiences | Screenings, scratch-offs, giveaways, SMS updates, and concierge customer service | See A24’s current terms and membership page for availability. |
Benefit descriptions are from A24’s membership page and its Terms of Use. The ticket benefit is not an unrestricted movie pass: eligible titles, theaters, formats, locations, and dates may be limited.
Why it works as a last-minute gift—and where it falls short
It gives an A24 fan more than a one-night movie outing
The strongest fit is someone who follows A24 releases, enjoys filmmaker extras, or collects the studio’s print and merchandise. A membership combines theatrical access with app content, Shop benefits, quarterly zines, and member experiences rather than offering only a single screening.
#1 Best Overall
The membership is digital; the welcome pack is not
You can purchase the membership online, which makes it a practical option when time is short. The physical welcome pack is mailed and may arrive later, so do not present it as a same-day gift. A24’s membership page does not explain whether a giver can schedule delivery or suppress notices about recurring billing.
It is not right for every movie lover
- Good fit: a US-based A24 fan who is likely to use the app, Shop, screenings, or print and merchandise perks.
- Weak fit: someone outside the US, someone seeking an unrestricted cinema subscription, or someone unlikely to use A24-specific benefits.
If the recipient mainly wants to choose their own A24 merchandise, an A24 Shop gift card is a narrower alternative, but it can only be redeemed in the Shop and does not provide membership benefits.

Check the renewal and cancellation terms before gifting
AAA24 automatically renews at the selected billing interval, charging the payment method at the then-current price unless the membership is cancelled or terminated. A24’s Terms of Use say, “Memberships may be canceled at any time.” Cancellation is available through the account or by emailing [email protected], but A24 does not provide a prorated refund for unused time in a paid term. To avoid the next charge, cancellation must be submitted at least two business days before renewal.
That subscription setup matters for a gift: the recipient should know that it will continue billing unless they cancel. A24 also reserves the ability to change membership availability, pricing, structure, terms, and benefits; check the current membership page and terms before purchase.

How to decide whether to give AAA24
- Confirm eligibility. The recipient must be in the United States according to A24’s membership page.
- Match the benefits to their habits. Consider whether they follow A24 releases or would use the app, Shop, zines, merchandise, and member experiences.
- Choose monthly or annual billing. A24 lists $9.99 monthly and $99 annually; the annual option is a commitment to a paid term, not a one-time gift with no renewal.
- Be clear about delivery and billing. The membership can be purchased online, but the welcome pack is mailed with no stated delivery estimate. Let the recipient know about automatic renewal and how to cancel.
For more detail on what the app offers, see A24’s A24 App page. A24’s Shop FAQ also distinguishes Shop gift cards from membership access: a Shop gift card is limited to that store, and a Blu-ray’s app entitlement applies only to qualifying purchases through the A24 Shop under the member’s own account—not to a gifted disc or a purchase from another retailer.
