Verify the domain and installer before opening it, avoid search-ad download buttons, check publisher or signature information where available, and scan an unexpected executable with established security software. Fair use is not an automatic exemption. Giving credit, adding a disclaimer, describing the use as noncommercial, or adding a small amount of original material does not by itself make a use fair.
