Emily Towers’s 23 July 2025 Entertainment Daily article reports an estimate of more than £98,000, or $134,000, and attributes the description and valuation to Maxwell Stone, a jewelry expert at Steven Stone. Stone is quoted as saying: “This remarkable brooch features approximately four carats of white diamonds, arranged in 18 individual stones, and is crowned by a breathtaking three-carat cabochon-cut green emerald pendant,” and: “Once worn as a necklace by Princess Diana, the piece carries not only aesthetic brilliance but deep royal significance.” Those are the expert’s reported claims, not independent gemological verification.

Entertainment Daily reports that the necklace was redesigned, but the reporting reviewed by Factually.co does not include a direct Royal Household statement explaining the alteration. It therefore does not establish who approved or carried out the redesign, the precise chain of custody, or legal ownership at each point. The story supports saying that the transformation and later appearances were reported; it does not support presenting those details as an officially documented account.
