What does “93% fresh” mean?
Rotten Tomatoes showed The 100 with a 93% Average Tomatometer from 106 reviews when its series page was accessed in 2026. This is the critics’ score, not an audience rating, and it is a current snapshot rather than a score fixed at the time of the show’s release.
#1 Best Overall
The same page showed a 67% Average Popcornmeter from 5,000+ ratings. The two figures measure different groups, so the 93% should not be presented as the audience score. Nor does it mean each season scored 93%: Rotten Tomatoes’ season scores ranged from 76% for season 1 to 100% for seasons 2, 6, and 7. See the Rotten Tomatoes series page for the current figures.
What is The 100 about?
After nuclear Armageddon destroys civilization, survivors live aboard a network of space stations. As resources dwindle, leaders send 100 young prisoners to Earth to find out whether the planet can support life. The drama, science-fiction, and adventure series follows what happens when the group encounters other survivors.
