Netflix’s latest completed global weekly Top 10, covering September 28–October 4, 2026, puts East of Eden in first place. The list is a Netflix chart—not a ranking across every streaming service—and its “views” and hours-viewed figures describe that week, not confirmed unique viewers or episode completions.
Netflix’s global Top 10 for September 28–October 4, 2026
Here are the ten entries in Netflix’s global weekly Top 10 for that reporting period. The chart reports views, runtime and hours viewed; the figures below are weekly views and hours viewed as listed by Netflix.
| Rank | Title | Views | Hours viewed |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | East of Eden: Limited Series | 6.5 million | 45.5 million |
| 2 | Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story: Season 1 | 5.7 million | 37.9 million |
| 3 | A Different World: Season 1 | 5.1 million | 27.9 million |
| 4 | Wonka’s The Golden Ticket: Season 1 | 4.3 million | 34.1 million |
| 5 | LEGO ONE PIECE: Season 1 | 3.8 million | 4.2 million |
| 6 | The Gentlemen: Season 2 | not stated (Netflix chart) | not stated (Netflix chart) |
| 7 | Crew Girl: Season 1 | not stated (Netflix chart) | not stated (Netflix chart) |
| 8 | Raw: September 28, 2026 | not stated (Netflix chart) | not stated (Netflix chart) |
| 9 | The Gentlemen: Season 1 | not stated (Netflix chart) | not stated (Netflix chart) |
| 10 | Gabby’s Dollhouse: Season 14 | not stated (Netflix chart) | not stated (Netflix chart) |
Netflix’s chart treats the two seasons of The Gentlemen as separate entries. Keep the season labels in mind when comparing titles: a season’s placement is not necessarily the rank of the show as a whole.
What the chart’s numbers do—and do not—show
A rank places a title within this particular Netflix chart and reporting week. Netflix also publishes views, runtime and hours viewed, but those measures are not interchangeable: the figures do not by themselves establish unique people watching, how many viewers finished a series, or total television viewing across platforms. For example, LEGO ONE PIECE logged 3.8 million views and 4.2 million hours in the week, while East of Eden logged 6.5 million views and 45.5 million hours. Those numbers reflect different viewing totals, not proof that every counted view represents a distinct person.

The U.S. snapshot is a different list
Netflix’s U.S. daily list published October 6, 2026, had its own top ten: East of Eden, A Different World, The Great British Baking Show, Wonka’s The Golden Ticket, Murder in a Small Town, Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story, The Way Home, LEGO ONE PIECE, Percy Jackson and the Olympians and Doc. It is a U.S. snapshot, not a replacement for the global weekly chart above. Netflix also publishes country-specific weekly charts with their own reporting windows; its U.S. weekly page, for example, identifies September 21–27, 2026.
A book connection for the top-ranked series
East of Eden is based on John Steinbeck’s 1952 novel, as noted by Tom’s Guide. The book is optional further reading rather than a prerequisite for watching the series.
