No fixed date was established in the latest dated reporting reviewed here. On May 11, 2026, Dread Central reported that director Damien Leone said the plan was for the film to reach theaters in 2027. That is a year-level target, not a scheduled premiere date.
What is the Terrifier 4 release date?
No exact day or month was announced in the reports cited here. ComingSoon said on May 9, 2026, that a release date had not been announced. Two days later, Dread Central reported Leone’s 2027 theatrical plan, based on his response to a fan. These reports establish a target year, not a confirmed calendar date.
Because those reports are from May 2026, they do not establish whether Leone or a distributor made a newer announcement afterward. Anyone checking the status as of October 8, 2026, should look for a direct update from Leone or an announcement confirmed by the distributor.
What did Damien Leone say about the film’s status?
In an update dated February 25, 2026, Leone said the script was “very close to completion” and that he was hoping to begin pre-production that spring. He also called the script his most precious and challenging. Those statements describe his status and plans at the time; the reporting cited here does not confirm that the script was later completed or that pre-production began.
