Telenor Pakistan announced a Spotify partnership on February 24, 2021, that let its customers subscribe to Spotify Premium using their Telenor mobile balance. That is a historical announcement, not confirmation that Telenor billing still works. Spotify’s Pakistan plan page currently lists paid plans from Rs 199 to Rs 679 per month; check the payment options shown for your plan before relying on carrier billing.
What the Telenor–Spotify partnership announced
On February 24, 2021, ProPakistani reported that Telenor Pakistan customers could subscribe to Spotify Premium through their Telenor mobile balance. The announcement framed airtime billing as a way to make Premium easier to access for people with limited online payment options. It named Khurrum Ashfaque, then identified as Telenor Pakistan’s COO, as the speaker.

“With masses having limited online payment options, we are enabling ease of access to 47 million Telenor Pakistan customers to subscribe to Spotify using their mobile airtime.”
The 47 million figure belongs to the 2021 statement; it should not be read as a current customer count. The launch coverage also reported that Spotify then had more than 70 million tracks, over 4 billion playlists and 345 million monthly listeners. Spotify’s Pakistan Premium page, accessed October 5, 2026, lists the following plan prices. Prices and offers can change, and the page also presents prepaid and promotional options; check the plan and payment type shown when subscribing.

How to check whether Telenor balance billing is available now
The 2021 partnership report does not establish that Telenor mobile-balance billing remains an option. Spotify’s general support guidance is to select a Premium plan and check the networks or wallets displayed beside “Pay by mobile.” It does not confirm Telenor’s availability in Pakistan.
