Watch Hill also attracts speculation about Swift’s private life. An Associated Press report published June 21, 2026, said a tent nearby prompted wedding rumors that proved unfounded; it did not establish private plans or current occupancy. The report quoted local visitor Leslie Aucapina: “If she wants to share it, she wants to share it,” she said. “At the end of the day, it’s someone’s house.” The Associated Press report is a reminder not to treat nearby activity as evidence about a private residence.

Architectural Digest reports that Swift bought two Tribeca penthouses in 2014 for a combined $20 million and combined them into an 8,309-square-foot residence with ten bedrooms and ten bathrooms. The Standard reports a combined price of $19.95 million and an area of about 8,000 square feet. Architectural Digest says she still owns the residence.

The Standard reports an $18 million townhouse purchase in 2017 and a $9.75 million unit purchase in 2018, as well as a reported plan to connect or repurpose space.
