It added a new TTPD chapter, combined Folklore and Evermore, and reshuffled earlier parts of the set. The tour ended in December 2024, so this is a look back at a specific, documented change—not a change happening now.
What changed when the tour returned in Paris?
The Paris show marked the European leg’s opening and introduced a substantially revised performance. The clearest headline change was a new section devoted to TTPD, released in April 2024. The Associated Press reported that the revised show included seven songs from the new album; TIME’s account of the Paris debut lists eight performances associated with the TTPD section, including a shortened version of “So High School.” The counts reflect different descriptions of that debut, not a promise that every later show had an identical set.
Disney’s official announcement later confirmed that a TTPD set was added to the tour following the album’s release. The Associated Press reported on the Paris debut, and TIME documented the setlist changes and new section.
Which TTPD songs were part of the Paris debut?
TIME’s account lists these songs in the new album chapter:
#1 Best Overall
- “But Daddy I Love Him”
- “So High School” (shortened)
- “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?”
- “Down Bad”
- “Fortnight”
- “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived”
- “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart”
- “loml”
The section followed “Bad Blood,” with a road image used in the transition. “loml” was the last song in the new-album portion before the show moved into its Midnights segment. This is the sequence TIME reported for the Paris debut; it should not be read as a complete record of every subsequent performance.
How did the rest of the setlist change?
The update was more than an album insert. TIME reported that “The Archer” was removed and the show moved from the Lover era directly to Fearless. Later in the sequence, Red came before Speak Now and Reputation. “Long Live,” which had been performed in the earlier set, was absent from the Paris version.
Swift also combined the Folklore and Evermore material into a single chapter. She described the albums as “sister albums” and said: “On the Eras Tour, we have now reunited the sisters, combined them into one chapter.”
Why was this called the first major change?
The timing and scale explain the description: the tour returned from a two-month hiatus with a new album section and changes to the order and contents of existing chapters. The Paris show on May 9, 2024 is the documented point at which that revised version debuted. “First major change” is best understood as a label for this historical overhaul, not as a claim that nothing at all had changed at any earlier performance.

The Paris debut accounts establish the new TTPD chapter, the combined Folklore/Evermore section, and the reported setlist reshuffle. They do not establish that every song, transition, or ordering detail stayed identical throughout the remaining dates. The tour concluded in December 2024; the change described here belongs to its 2024 history.
TIME’s Paris setlist report records the debut details, while Disney’s announcement of the concert film confirms the TTPD section was added after the album came out.
