It was a delicate gold chain with ruby details and a small T charm. The original has not been established as a standard retail item, but shoppers can look for similar initial, layered, and crystal-accented leg chains.
What thigh chain did Taylor Swift wear?
Swift wore the custom piece with her red 2025 Grammys look, where it peeked out below the hem of her dress. In Vanity Fair’s interview with Lorraine Schwartz, the designer described the jewelry collaboration as Swift’s idea brought to life with Schwartz’s help, saying, “It really was her collab with me.”
Schwartz said the thigh-chain detail included 15 carats of natural rubies. That figure applies to the chain, not Swift’s other jewelry: the more than 60 carats of natural rubies cited in the same reporting refer to her earrings and rings.
What does the T charm mean?
The people involved in Vanity Fair’s reporting did not confirm what the T stood for. It may invite personal interpretations, but any specific explanation should be treated as speculation rather than an established meaning. A later Marie Claire report described the piece as personalized for Swift and Travis; that is the later writer’s account, not confirmation from Schwartz.

Where to shop for similar thigh chains
The original is custom jewelry, and the available coverage does not establish it as a regular retail product. For a lookalike, Cosmopolitan’s February 2025 roundup points to Amazon options including an initial thigh chain, a layered snake-style chain, crystal and rhinestone designs, and multi-piece sets. These are similar-style alternatives, not the Lorraine Schwartz original, and their inclusion does not imply endorsement by Swift or the designer. Cosmopolitan notes that it may earn commission from links.

- Charm: An initial charm echoes the small T; a plain chain keeps the look closer to understated jewelry.
- Finish and accents: Gold-tone metal with ruby-like red stones or crystals can suggest the original’s color and sparkle. These are lookalike materials, not a claim about the original’s exact construction.
- Fit: Check the stated length, adjustment range, and how the piece is meant to fasten. Do not assume a listing is adjustable if it does not say so.
- Listing details: Confirm current price, stock, materials, seller, and return terms on the product page; a roundup published in February 2025 does not establish that a listing is still available or unchanged.
Can a thigh chain also be worn as a necklace?
Marie Claire reports that Swift later wore her custom piece as a necklace. That is styling context for her own jewelry; it does not establish that other thigh chains are made to be worn around the neck. Follow the product’s intended use and fit guidance rather than assuming a leg chain can safely double as a necklace.
