Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce married at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday, July 3, 2026, according to post-event reporting by CBS News. A city permit reported by the Associated Press outlined a Thursday gathering for 100 guests and a Friday event permitted for up to 1,000 people. The arrangements suggest a large, tightly managed celebration—but no verified wedding budget or total cost has been reported.
Where did Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce get married?
CBS News reported after the event that the couple married at Madison Square Garden (MSG) on Friday, July 3, 2026, citing law enforcement sources. Before the wedding, the Associated Press reported that a New York City permit application for a “Special Event at MSG” had been approved. The permit supports the venue and event arrangements; the post-event report is the source for the claim that the couple married there. Associated Press · CBS News
What did the reported wedding schedule include?
Thursday, July 2: a pre-wedding gathering
The permit listed 100 guests beginning to arrive Thursday for a “pre party celebration.” The Associated Press reported that officials described the gathering as an intimate rehearsal dinner. That figure refers to the planned arrival group in the permit, not a confirmed final attendance count.
Friday, July 3: the main event
The permit allowed for up to 1,000 people at Friday’s event, scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. and with an option to continue until 4 a.m. Saturday, according to the Associated Press. This is a permitted capacity, not proof that 1,000 people attended. CBS later described the wedding as having around 1,000 guests, citing law enforcement sources; that reported estimate is separate from the permit’s maximum.

#1 Best Overall
CBS described a cocktail hour, ceremony and reception, as well as extensive set construction and a transformation of the venue. People editor-in-chief Charlotte Triggs called it “a spectacular blowout” in the CBS report. These descriptions convey the scale and atmosphere reported by the outlet; they are not an official itemized account from the couple. CBS News
How were the venue and surrounding area managed?
The Associated Press reported street closures and restrictions near MSG and Penn Station as part of the event arrangements. CBS, citing law enforcement sources, reported that private security and the NYPD were present, with 135 NYPD officers assigned around the venue. That is a reported staffing figure, not a measure of the wedding’s total security spending. Associated Press · CBS News

How much did Taylor Swift’s wedding cost?
No verified overall price, budget or itemized wedding expenses appear in the reporting cited here. A large venue, a permit for up to 1,000 people, construction and security arrangements establish that the event was substantial; they do not establish what it cost. Any specific total would be speculation unless supported by a documented figure from a reliable source.

Variety reported that Swift discussed wedding planning on The Graham Norton Show in October 2025. She said she was excited because “the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount, and people are on the bubble,” adding, “I’m not gonna do that.” Her remarks indicate that she did not want to make difficult cuts among borderline invitees; they do not confirm the final guest list or explain the event’s cost.
