Swift watched from a suite, where reports placed her alongside Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce. After the final whistle, Swift and Kelce were seen leaving Arrowhead Stadium together. Entertainment Tonight’s report described the footage as showing them walking out hand-in-hand behind Patrick and Brittany Mahomes.
The game was played in extreme cold
The weather was a major part of the night’s story. The Chiefs recorded a kickoff temperature of −4°F, while the official NFL game information reported a wind chill of approximately −27°F. Those conditions made the post-game walk out very different from a typical warm-weather stadium exit.

The cold also helps explain why Swift’s outerwear attracted nearly as much attention as the hand-holding footage. She wore a bright-red, Chiefs-themed puffer jacket incorporating Kelce’s name and his No. 87 identity.
Swift’s red No. 87 jacket was custom-made
The jacket was not an ordinary Nike retail product or a standard Chiefs coat. Contemporary reporting identified Kristin Juszczyk, the wife of San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk, as its designer. The garment was handmade and customized around Kelce’s Chiefs identity.

That distinction matters: the exact jacket Swift wore should not be described as an off-the-shelf item that fans could simply buy from a regular team store. Readers looking for a similar game-day style can instead consider a Kansas City Chiefs jersey layered with a red winter coat, but that is an inspired alternative—not an identical replica of Swift’s custom garment.
What the footage does—and does not—show
The verifiable details are straightforward:
- Swift and Kelce left Arrowhead Stadium after the Chiefs’ 26–7 playoff win.
- They were seen holding hands as they walked out.
- The exit followed an AFC Wild Card game played in exceptionally cold conditions.
- Swift wore a custom red jacket associated with Kelce’s Chiefs team and No. 87.
- Reports connected the jacket to designer Kristin Juszczyk.
The footage does not reveal the couple’s private conversation, prove what either person was feeling, or announce a change in their relationship. Holding hands is the observable event; interpretations beyond that require information the video does not provide.

Why the date can be confusing
Swift and Kelce were also reported holding hands after the Chiefs’ season-opening win over the Baltimore Ravens on September 5, 2024. That was a separate sighting. The cold-weather footage, the 26–7 Miami playoff result, and the custom No. 87 jacket identify the moment discussed here as the January 13, 2024 Chiefs–Dolphins Wild Card game.
Keeping the two events separate is important because the headline can otherwise be read as referring to either Chiefs victory. This article concerns the playoff exit from Arrowhead Stadium in January 2024, not the September 2024 season opener.

The bottom line
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce did leave the Chiefs’ January 13, 2024 playoff win holding hands. Kansas City had just beaten Miami 26–7 in one of the coldest games in NFL history, and Swift’s custom red Kelce-inspired puffer made the exit especially recognizable. The public evidence supports those details, but not broader claims about what the couple said or what the gesture meant privately.

Which Chiefs game did Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce leave holding hands?
The footage came from the Chiefs’ AFC Wild Card game against the Miami Dolphins on January 13, 2024. Kansas City won 26–7 at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
