June 2023: Flav joins the Swiftie bracelet tradition
At the Detroit Eras Tour stop in June, Flav leaned into the fan culture around the show. He wore a Taylor-themed red outfit, including a shirt that read “I knew she was trouble,” alongside his signature clock necklace. He also wore fan-made beaded friendship bracelets and shared video of meeting fans and swapping bracelets, as Vanity Fair reported.
Flav captured the mood in a social post: “In my RED (Taylor’s Version) Era and makin new friends at #TaylorSwift.” The outfit and bracelet images show more than a celebrity attending a concert: they place him among fans taking part in a recognizable Eras Tour ritual.

February 2024: The “King Swiftie” exchange at the Grammys
At the 66th Grammy Awards on February 4, 2024, Flav congratulated Swift on her success and told her fans had dubbed him “King Swiftie.” In his account to Us Weekly, he recalled Swift replying, “I know.”
Flav’s Instagram photo from the night described the pair as “KING SWIFTIE and QUEEN TAYLOR SWIFT.” The photograph and reported exchange make this their most prominent face-to-face moment in the timeline. The Recording Academy’s February 6, 2024 recap of Grammy-night moments offers broader context for the evening, but its featured Flav candid is with boygenius rather than Swift.

July 2024: Swift spots Flav in Hamburg
During the first of two Eras Tour nights in Hamburg, Germany, in July 2024, Swift noticed Flav in the audience and mouthed his name, according to Us Weekly. Flav posted a clip of the moment and joked, “Coming straight to Germany to see me,!!!” He also thanked Swift, Taylor Nation, her team, and her family for having him.
This concert clip adds a different kind of evidence to the earlier photos: it shows Swift recognizing a fan in the crowd, rather than only Flav documenting his support for her.
