The studio said in a January 1, 2025 social post that it had a new start. Its later official hiring notice, dated June 2, 2025, mentioned early work on an unnamed action game, but did not identify it as Hi-Fi RUSH 2.
What did Tango Gameworks reveal?
On January 1, 2025, Tango Gameworks announced a new start as Tango Gameworks Inc. under KRAFTON. The announcement followed the studio’s closure by Microsoft and KRAFTON’s subsequent takeover of its business. Insider Gaming described the restart as a “rebirth” in its headline; that word was not the title of a new game. Insider Gaming’s report on the restart
KRAFTON’s 2024 announcement said it intended to work with Xbox and ZeniMax on a smooth transition, maintain continuity at the studio, support continued development of the Hi-Fi RUSH intellectual property, and explore future projects. Those were stated intentions, not confirmation of a specific sequel or release. KRAFTON Japan’s takeover announcement
Has Tango announced Hi-Fi RUSH 2?
No. The available official statements and reporting cited here do not confirm Hi-Fi RUSH 2. KRAFTON’s stated interest in continuing the franchise does not establish that a sequel is in development, and the later hiring notice does not connect its project to Hi-Fi RUSH. What is known about Tango’s next game?
In a June 2, 2025 notice on its official news page, Tango said it had open positions for early work on an “unannounced action game,” adding, “While we aren’t ready to reveal much yet.” The notice did not name the project or specify its platforms, release window, or relationship to any existing franchise. It is evidence of hiring for early work at that time, not a current hiring listing or a confirmed release plan. Tango Gameworks official news
In December 2024 interviews, studio leaders spoke about creative freedom and original ideas as priorities. Those comments describe their views at the time; they do not guarantee what the unnamed project will be. 4Gamer’s December 2024 interview and GameWith’s December 2024 interview
