In the image, she kisses him on the forehead and gently holds his head. ABC News reported that her caption read, “So cute! 😚😚”.
What the new photo shows
The photo captures Tallulah beside her father, kissing his forehead and holding his head. The Independent also reported the image and caption on September 29, 2026. Neither outlet’s account establishes what Bruce’s current clinical condition is, and a still photograph cannot establish how his disease is affecting him.
ABC News reported the photo and caption; The Independent covered the post.
How it relates to Tallulah’s wedding
The post appeared weeks after Tallulah married Justin Acee on August 8, 2026, at her family’s home in Idaho. ABC News reported that Bruce was by her side at the celebration. Wedding photos showed Tallulah leaning against him while Acee held his hand. Those images provide context for the family occasion, not evidence about Bruce’s health.

What is Bruce Willis’s dementia diagnosis?
Bruce’s family announced in March 2022 that he would step away from acting after an aphasia diagnosis. In February 2023, the family announced a more specific diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia (FTD). This is the timeline of the family’s public announcements as reported by ABC News and The Associated Press, not an independently reviewed medical record.
AP, drawing on the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, describes FTD as a group of brain disorders involving degeneration in the frontal and/or temporal lobes. It can affect behavior, language, and movement; that general description does not establish which symptoms Bruce experiences or how his condition has progressed. Read AP’s report on the family’s 2023 announcement.

What the family has said about living with the diagnosis
In a Le Monde interview published September 19, 2026, Bruce’s wife, Emma Heming Willis, described his diagnosis as primary progressive aphasia, a variant of FTD. She discussed changes in communication, adapting to the disease, and her family’s experience. These are her comments about their circumstances, not a clinical update on Bruce’s current status or general medical guidance. Read Emma Heming Willis’s interview in Le Monde.
Le Monde attributed an estimate of approximately 60,000 people in the United States living with FTD to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration. The interview did not state the estimate’s original publication year, so it should not be treated as a figure newly measured in 2026.

What is not known from these reports
- The reports do not establish whether Bruce consented to this specific photo being shared.
- They do not provide a current clinical assessment or establish Bruce’s current treatment options through a medical source.
- Tallulah previously wrote in a 2023 Vogue essay, as quoted by ABC News: “I find that I’m trying to document, to build a record for the day when he isn’t there to remind me of him and of us.” That explains her earlier reflection on documenting their relationship; it does not establish why she shared this particular photo.
