T-Mobile’s Hulu and Netflix perks are real, but they are not included for everyone with a 5G phone or T-Mobile 5G service. As of August 18, 2026, T-Mobile lists Hulu With Ads for qualifying Experience Beyond customers and Netflix Standard with ads for qualifying Experience Beyond or Experience More customers. Its current streaming page does not show a general claim-by date for those benefits.
Which T-Mobile plans include Hulu and Netflix?
T-Mobile ties these perks to qualifying postpaid plan lines in good standing, not to 5G access by itself. The current plan names and included tiers listed on T-Mobile’s streaming benefits page are:

The two benefits have different eligibility rules: Experience More is listed for Netflix, but not for Hulu. Do not assume that prepaid service, a home-internet-only account, or another plan—including a legacy plan—qualifies for both. For plan features and account-specific eligibility, check T-Mobile’s current streaming page and your T-Mobile account.
What does the cutoff refer to?
The commonly cited cutoff dates come from older promotions and legacy-account rules. They are not presented as a universal deadline for current Experience Beyond customers.

January 24, 2024: the earlier Go5G Next Hulu promotion
T-Mobile announced Hulu for Go5G Next in January 2024. The associated rate card told eligible customers to register after January 24, 2024, redeem a code within 30 days, and described 12 months of Hulu With Ads while maintaining a qualifying line. It also listed automatic renewal at $7.99 per month or the then-current price if the customer took no action. Those are historical terms—not a current Hulu price or proof of a present-day universal cutoff. See T-Mobile’s January 2024 announcement and its January 2024 rate card.
January 5, 2024: a legacy Netflix transition date
A separate January 5 date has been associated with some legacy Netflix customers who needed to have Netflix “On Us” active to receive a Hulu replacement or transition benefit. That rule concerned a legacy-account transition, not the current Experience Beyond offer. The current official streaming page does not show a general claim-by date for the Experience Beyond benefits.

What T-Mobile says now
As of August 18, 2026, T-Mobile describes these benefits as available while the customer maintains a qualifying line in good standing. It also says offers and plan features may change or be discontinued. Check the benefit shown for your account before changing plans or relying on a specific offer.
How to check eligibility and activate the benefit
T-Mobile can change app labels or redemption steps, so use the current option shown in your account. Before starting, confirm the plan name and that the line is active and in good standing.

- Open the T-Life app or sign in to your T-Mobile account. T-Life is available from the App Store and Google Play.
- Look under Benefits, Add-ons, or the account’s streaming or entertainment section.
- Select the Hulu On Us or Netflix On Us benefit if it appears, then choose the redeem or link option.
- Sign in to the streaming account you want to use, or create one if eligible. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect it to T-Mobile.
- Check the streaming provider’s account or billing page to confirm T-Mobile is covering the eligible tier, then review your next bill.
T-Mobile says its Hulu offer is available to new and returning Hulu subscribers, is limited to one offer per eligible T-Mobile account, and starts when the Hulu account is activated. That does not guarantee that separate accounts will merge automatically, so use the account-linking flow rather than creating a duplicate by assumption. T-Mobile also says changing Hulu plans after redemption can forfeit the offer; review the current Hulu terms on its streaming page before selecting a different tier.
If you already pay Hulu or Netflix directly, do not cancel first on the assumption that billing will transfer automatically. Confirm the linking instructions and check both services’ billing pages afterward. T-Mobile’s 2024 terms warned that existing Netflix customers could continue to be billed for one or two cycles during a transition; that was a historical warning, not a guaranteed current transition period.

What “free” includes—and what it does not
The included services are ad-supported tiers: Hulu With Ads and Netflix Standard with ads. They are not Hulu No Ads, Hulu + Live TV, or an ad-free Netflix plan. If you choose a higher tier or an add-on, you may owe an upgrade charge or the difference under the current account terms; check the price shown before confirming a change. The wireless plan itself still has a monthly cost.
The Hulu benefit is one offer per eligible T-Mobile account, not a separate Hulu subscription for every line. Netflix eligibility also depends on the qualifying line and plan terms shown in your account. Do not assign a fixed dollar value to the bundle using an old promotion price: T-Mobile’s current streaming page identifies the included tiers but does not establish a complete current retail-price comparison.

What happens if you change plans or cancel T-Mobile?
- Moving off Experience Beyond can end Hulu eligibility; a move to a nonqualifying plan can also remove or alter Netflix eligibility.
- Changing the Hulu plan after activation can forfeit the Hulu offer under T-Mobile’s current terms.
- When you cancel a T-Mobile line, do not assume the associated streaming account is canceled too. The historical rate card warned that ending the wireless line might not automatically cancel Hulu or Netflix. Check the streaming provider directly and cancel any subscription you no longer want.
- After linking an existing account, verify the payment method with the streaming provider so you can catch continued direct billing or duplicate accounts.
Is upgrading to a qualifying plan worth it?
Compare the extra wireless cost with the value you personally get from the included tiers and the plan’s other features. The relevant calculation is the difference between your current and proposed wireless bills—not the full advertised price of Hulu and Netflix—set against what you would otherwise pay for the services you actually use.
- Compare the monthly plan price for your number of lines, including applicable taxes, fees, AutoPay discounts, device payments, and promotional credits.
- Include other plan features you would use, such as hotspot data, international roaming, premium data, or upgrade benefits.
- Account for the ad-supported tiers: the perks may be worth less if you would pay extra for ad-free viewing or rarely use either service.
- Check whether moving plans would cost you a valuable grandfathered benefit, device credit, or discount.
If the streaming perks are the only reason to switch, compare the added wireless cost with the cost of keeping your current plan and subscribing to streaming services separately. T-Mobile’s plan page and streaming-benefit page can help you confirm the current plan features, but your account’s offer is the practical check before you change anything.

- Confirm the exact plan name; 5G service alone does not establish eligibility.
- Check that the qualifying line is active and in good standing.
- For Hulu, check whether the account has already used its one offer.
- Sign out of T-Life and sign back in, then check the account’s benefits or streaming section again.
- If T-Mobile lists the benefit for your plan but no redemption option appears, contact T-Mobile support to verify the line’s eligibility.
Hulu or Netflix still bills you
- Confirm that the streaming account you are checking is the one linked through T-Mobile.
- Review the provider’s billing page for a direct payment method, duplicate account, or transition charge.
- Do not assume that removing a T-Mobile benefit cancels a direct-billed subscription; handle cancellation with the streaming provider if needed.
You see an upgrade charge or the perk disappears
- Check whether you selected an ad-free tier, premium plan, or paid add-on.
- Compare the new wireless plan with the plan named in the benefit terms.
- If your account appears eligible but the benefit is gone, ask T-Mobile to verify the current qualifying-line status.
