The call paired an entertainment guest with political figures. Contemporaneous coverage named Senators Elizabeth Warren and Kirsten Gillibrand among the speakers and described the event as a rally supporting Harris.
What was Swifties for Kamala?
Swifties for Kamala was a fan-led political coalition seeking to mobilize Swift fans for Democratic candidates and encourage voter participation. The group’s own About Us page reported more than 3,500 active volunteers, over 280,000 social followers, $150,000 raised for the Harris campaign, and 90,000 people mobilized to check their voter registration. These are the organization’s reported totals, not independently audited results.

#1 Best Overall
The group’s name described its supporters’ fandom; it did not establish an official relationship with Taylor Swift. She did not appear or participate in the August 27 call.
How should the rally’s fundraising figures be read?
News accounts reported different fundraising totals, which should not be combined into a single figure. The Guardian’s contemporaneous report put the amount raised at more than $138,000; other coverage at the time cited totals above $120,000. Those are outlet-specific reports from the event period, distinct from the $150,000 figure the group later listed on its About Us page for funds raised for the Harris campaign.
