The Hollywood couple in Swansea City’s celebrity-supporter story is Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas. The club has also named actors Michael Sheen, David Hasselhoff and Rob Brydon among its famous fans. These five are a documented selection, not an official ranking: Swansea City’s 2020 roundup lists other well-known supporters too.
Who are Swansea City’s famous supporters?
Swansea City’s 24 June 2020 roundup identifies all five names below as supporters. The accounts offer different kinds of evidence—hometown ties, childhood support, reported match attendance and public gestures—rather than a common measure of fame or a claim that every person is an active supporter today.
Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas
The club describes Swansea-born actor Catherine Zeta-Jones as a famous local daughter who supports her hometown club with her husband, actor Michael Douglas. Swansea City recounts that the couple woke early to watch the club win the 2013 League Cup Final and celebrated the victory on the red carpet. It also says Zeta-Jones bought inflatable swans for the pool at her New York home after a Swansea win in 2015. Separately, ITV News Wales reported that she received the Freedom of Swansea in 2019, with Douglas by her side at the ceremony.

Michael Sheen
Swansea City describes Welsh actor Michael Sheen as a childhood supporter of his hometown club. Its account says that when Sheen was 12 and wearing a Swansea shirt on holiday, he was offered an Arsenal trial after being spotted by the father of Arsenal player Tony Adams. That story establishes a childhood connection; it does not by itself show how often Sheen attends matches today.
David Hasselhoff
The club says American actor David Hasselhoff began supporting Swansea after marrying his wife, who was born in Glynneath. Its roundup reports that he attended matches at the Liberty Stadium and the 2013 League Cup Final, and posted support for the club online.

Rob Brydon
Actor and comedian Rob Brydon, who was born in Baglan, supported Swansea as a youngster, according to the club. Swansea City also says he sent the squad a good-luck message before the 2011 Championship play-offs.
The childhood, family and matchday examples above come from Swansea City’s 2020 roundup; they are not a current attendance record for each person.

Why this is a selection, not a definitive ranking
“Most famous” has no agreed scoring system, and Swansea City’s roundup includes more names than these five. Among others, it mentions Elis James, Enzo Maccarinelli, Dirk Nowitzki, Jay Harris, Henry Thomas, Steffan Rhodri, Melanie Walters, Ioan Gruffudd and Max Boyce. The five here are notable for the club’s documented examples, not because Swansea City published them as its official top five.

Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling and Reese Witherspoon
In March 2018, BBC Sport reported that Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling and Reese Witherspoon discussed Swansea while promoting A Wrinkle in Time. The report described Kaling’s investment in Swansea and quoted Winfrey saying, “I am hoping to go to Wales to see my team.” That was a statement of interest reported in 2018, not evidence that she later attended a match or that all three were lifelong Swansea supporters. Snoop Dogg
BBC Sport’s 2026 account and an Associated Press report dated 24 February 2026 describe rapper Snoop Dogg’s Swansea connection, including investment and a match visit. Those are recent investment and attendance developments; they are distinct from the longstanding or childhood fandom described for some names in the club’s 2020 roundup.
