Anika Dhar was voted out of Survivor 47 on Day 10 in a 3-1 Tribal Council vote, even though she expected Andy Rueda to be the target. In a post-elimination interview, Dhar said she felt secure with her alliance and described the shock of realizing the votes were against her.
How Anika Dhar was eliminated
Dhar was a member of the Gata tribe. At the Day 10 Tribal Council, Andy Rueda, Sam Phalen and Sierra Wright voted for Dhar; Rachel LaMont voted for Andy. The result was 3-1, making Dhar the fifth person voted out of the season. She could not cast a ballot because she had lost her vote on an earlier journey. Reality TV World’s October 17, 2024 recap reports the vote, and The True Dork Times’ contestant record provides a season-record cross-check.

Why the vote caught her off guard
Dhar said she expected Andy to leave and believed she was safe with her alliance. In her October 17, 2024 interview with Parade’s Mike Bloom, she described initially taking the first vote with her name in stride. When a second vote for her was read, she understood that she was the target.
Parade’s account says Dhar had considered herself close with Rachel and Sierra, while Sam and Sierra were also balancing relationships with Andy. Those are the players’ reported positions, not proof of private motives; the vote itself shows how the group ultimately split its ballots.

What Dhar remembered after Tribal Council
Dhar said the full emotional impact came as she left Tribal Council. She told Parade, “I really did black out. I don’t remember any of it.” That is her description of her memory of the immediate exit, not a medical statement.
Her final words, as reported by Reality TV World, captured the frustration of being confident before the vote: “The worst part is how confident I felt. I got played before I could play them.”
