How does the comic storyline connect?
The preview article frames the season’s opening as drawing on “The Death of Superman,” a major Superman comics storyline. That connection describes broad inspiration; it does not establish that this episode adapts the comic beat for beat.
For context, the comics storyline is the source material being referenced, not a separate version of the television episode. The preview does not identify a particular collected edition or episode tie-in.
