The first full look at Superboy in My Adventures with Superman Season 3 appeared before the season premiered in June 2026. Early coverage described him as Conner Kent and reported that Darren Criss voices him; DC’s later account of the aired story identifies the time-traveling Superboy as Jon Kent, Lois and Clark’s future son. Those descriptions belong to different stages of the reveal, and the distinction matters.
What the first look revealed
On May 11, 2026, ComicBook.com reported a first full look at the animated series’ Superboy design and connected Season 3 with the Reign of the Supermen comics storyline. Its report called the character “Connor Kent” and said Darren Criss would voice him. That was pre-release coverage; it should not be treated as the final explanation of the character’s identity in the aired plot.
The comics storyline is a point of reference, not proof that the animated season adapts it identically. The first-look report established the visual reveal and its connection to that story, while DC’s later feature explained the role Superboy plays in this series.
Is Superboy Jon Kent or Conner Kent?
The names appear in different contexts. The May 2026 first-look report used “Connor Kent.” In a July 17, 2026 feature about the aired episodes, DC.com described the Superboy who arrives in episode four as Jon Kent, the future son of Lois and Clark. The available accounts do not explain the discrepancy, so it is clearest to attribute each name to its source rather than present the early report’s identification as the settled in-story answer.

In DC’s account, Jon has traveled back from an apocalyptic future to prevent catastrophe. His parents are dead in the timeline he comes from, and his arrival confronts the young Lois and Clark with the future they might have and the possibility of becoming parents. Lois is initially shocked by the situation but eventually embraces him. This is DC’s editorial description of the plot, not a transcript of the episode.
How Superboy fits into Season 3
Superboy’s arrival makes the season’s threat personal as well as world-sized: the future he describes is one in which Lois and Clark have lost their lives. His presence also turns the question of what Superman fights for into a family story. DC.com’s feature by Joshua Lapin-Bertone quotes Clark saying in the series, “This is what Superman fights for—a better tomorrow.” The line is dialogue from the show, not a production interview quote.
