Answers for Connections #896

Yellow — Lenient

EASY, LAX, LOOSE, SLACK

Green — Animal Homes

BURROW, DEN, LODGE, WARREN

Blue — Oliver Stone Movies

JFK, NIXON, PLATOON, WALL STREET

Purple — Second Words in Titles of ABBA Hits

GIMME, MIA, QUEEN, TROUPER

How the tricky words fit

WARREN may suggest a presidential name, especially beside JFK and NIXON, but it belongs with animal homes: a warren is a network of burrows. The blue group consists of movie titles: JFK, Nixon, Platoon, and Wall Street.

The purple group takes the second word from four ABBA song titles: “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!,” “Mamma Mia,” “Dancing Queen,” and “Super Trouper.” GIMME is the spelling used in the answer guides that agree on the board; one guide printed it as “GIMMIE” in an answer listing.

JFK, LAX, MIA, and DEN can also look like airport codes, but they do not form a set here: JFK belongs with the Oliver Stone films, while LAX is a leniency synonym, MIA is an ABBA title word, and DEN is an animal home. The puzzle’s date, number, categories, and solutions agree across answer guides from Forbes, Parade, and TechRadar. These are archival answers for November 23, 2025, rather than a claim about a current daily puzzle.
