The biggest relationship twist heading into Sullivan’s Crossing Season 4 is Liam’s return: he tells Maggie and her friends that he is still her husband, putting pressure on her renewed relationship with Cal. Netflix Tudum’s season guide says Liam comes back seeking annulment paperwork so he can move to Europe for work as a war reporter. That explains the season’s central complication; the official trailer page does not provide a transcript or scene-by-scene description.
What is the Season 4 twist?
Liam, Maggie’s former partner, returns after the Season 3 finale and identifies himself as her current husband in front of Maggie’s friends and Cal, her boyfriend, according to Netflix Tudum’s Season 4 guide. His claim changes the stakes of Maggie and Cal’s relationship: their future now has to contend with an unresolved marriage.
The title’s “steamy trailer” phrasing is not enough to establish that any particular kiss, line, or other intimate scene appears in the video. The CW’s official trailer page gives its publication date and premiere information, but no transcript or detailed scene list.
Why does Liam come back?
Netflix Tudum says Liam needs the paperwork to annul his marriage to Maggie as part of his plans to move to Europe and continue his career as a war reporter. His stated purpose is practical, but his arrival forces Maggie to address the marriage while she is with Cal. The guide supplies this plot explanation; it should not be confused with a verified trailer dialogue transcript.

When did the trailer and season arrive?
The CW published its official Season 4 trailer on March 9, 2026. The network had announced a U.S. premiere of Monday, April 20, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and said the season consists of 10 episodes. Those dates have passed; they are the original U.S. broadcast schedule, not a statement of current availability in every country.
Who is in Season 4?
The principal cast includes Morgan Kohan as Maggie, Chad Michael Murray as Cal, and Marcus Rosner as Liam, according to Netflix Tudum’s season guide.
