You can find books listed for Stuff Your Kindle Day through an organizer’s event page, then claim them from a participating retailer—but Dec. 27 should be treated as a historical date, not a confirmed upcoming event. Romance Bookworms lists Dec. 27 among its 2023 event dates; its visible 2026 Kindle event page names Aug. 10, 2026, and does not confirm a Dec. 27 event.
How do I get free books on Dec. 27?
Stuff Your Kindle Day is a limited-time ebook promotion organized by authors. It is a kind of event, not a single annual sale with a fixed date. Romance Bookworms’ historical schedule includes Dec. 27 in 2023, but its current event information does not establish that date for 2026. Check the organizer’s current event page for the date and participating titles before you browse.
- Choose a retailer. On Romance Bookworms, follow the link for the store you use. The organizer provides paths for Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, Barnes & Noble Nook, Kobo, and Google Play where available.
- Browse the event list. The Kindle event page sorts romance titles by genre and by reading vibe, including cozy, magical, intense, dark, sweet, steamy, and spicy.
- Open the retailer listing. Check the book’s displayed price on the retailer’s page before you claim it.
- Claim it while the offer is active. Use the retailer’s purchase or download flow. If the book is not free, do not assume it will become free; check another retailer link if one is provided, or revisit only if the organizer says the offer remains active.
Romance Bookworms advertises more than 1,300 free romance reads for its Aug. 10, 2026 event. That is the organizer’s figure for that specific event, not a promised total for another date.
Where do I find the free books?
Start with the organizer rather than searching by the event name alone: event dates and participating books can vary. Romance Bookworms links to participating listings at Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, Barnes & Noble Nook, Kobo, and Google Play. Follow the store link that matches the reading app or device you want to use, and confirm that the title is available in your region and account.

The Stuff Your Kindle event directory entry for Romance Bookworms is another place to locate the event listing. For date-specific information, use the organizer’s current page rather than assuming an old schedule still applies.
How can I make sure the book is actually free?
Check the price shown by the retailer immediately before claiming the title. Romance Bookworms says its Amazon-linked books should be free to buy, but also tells readers to double-check the price before one-clicking. Listings and prices can change, and an organizer’s page is not a guarantee that every retailer will show the same offer at the moment you visit.

- Check whether the organizer provides another retailer link for the same title.
- Use the organizer’s page to see whether the promotion is still active; do not rely on a past event date or listing as proof of a current free offer.
Do I need a Kindle to get the books?
No. A Kindle e-reader is optional. Amazon says Kindle books can be downloaded and read in Kindle apps for PC, Mac, iOS, and Android; Amazon also offers Kindle reading in a web browser. For app options, see Amazon’s Kindle app download help. A book claimed from Apple Books, Nook, Kobo, or Google Play instead belongs to that retailer’s reading ecosystem.

That is not established by the available organizer information. Romance Bookworms’ blog records Dec. 27 as one of its 2023 dates, while its visible 2026 Kindle event page lists Aug. 10, 2026. A separate welcome page mentions returning on Dec. 26 without clearly identifying the year, so it does not confirm a Dec. 27 event.
