The sources available here do not verify a year, organizer, or current event for March 4, so check the relevant organizer’s live page before treating that date as confirmed. If a promotion is active, use its book list and verify each retailer’s displayed price before claiming a title.
What Stuff Your Kindle Day means
The phrase is commonly used for free ebook blasts organized by independent authors. Organizers publish their own dates, participating books, and retailer links; there is no single official calendar controlling every event. The event directory describes these promotions as community-driven and independently organized, and notes that details can change (Stuff Your Kindle event directory).
The first event, according to the organizer’s history, took place on December 26, 2014. Romance author Zoe York organized it as a post-Christmas gift, with more than 60 titles submitted by 35 authors made free at the same time (Stuff Your Kindle, 2014 event history). That historical count does not indicate how many books take part in a current promotion.
Is there a Stuff Your Kindle Day on March 4?
The reviewed organizer pages do not establish which year or organizer the March 4 date refers to, and they do not verify a current event on that date. Dates vary by organizer. Romance Bookworms, for example, displayed an August 10, 2026 promotion notice on its homepage; that is a separate dated event, not confirmation of a March 4 promotion (Romance Bookworms).

To find out whether March 4 applies to a particular year, check the event organizer’s current listing. The Stuff Your Kindle FAQ itself frames the questions readers need answered as when the next event will happen and which books will be available (Stuff Your Kindle FAQ).
How to find and claim free books
- Choose an event that matches your interests. Start with the directory or an organizer’s page, then select a genre or niche that suits you. The directory links to multiple independently run free book blasts (Stuff Your Kindle event directory).
- Open the event’s book list. Follow the retailer link for the specific title you want. Retail options depend on the listing: Romance Bookworms, for example, lists Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, Barnes & Noble Nook, Kobo, and Google Play (Romance Bookworms).
- Check the price on the retailer page before buying or downloading. Confirm that the displayed price is free for your account and region. A listing on an event page does not establish that every retailer offers the same price or availability.
- Claim the ebook while the promotion is active. These offers can be time limited, and event details may change. Do not assume a title will remain free after the event window.
Why a Kindle-branded event may include other stores
“Kindle” in the event name does not necessarily mean Amazon is the only participating retailer. Some event lists link to other ebook stores, as the Romance Bookworms retailer options demonstrate. Choose a link compatible with the device or reading app you use, then check that store’s price and availability rather than assuming the offer is identical everywhere.

How Amazon’s free-book rules fit in
Amazon KDP Select is a free 90-day enrollment program for Kindle ebooks. Amazon says eligible ebooks in KDP Select may receive Free Book Promotions for up to five days during each 90-day enrollment period (KDP Select terms and conditions; Amazon KDP Free Book Promotions help). These are author-side program rules; they do not mean every book in a Stuff Your Kindle-style event is enrolled in KDP Select or free at every retailer.
