A single-file source with Loop enabled repeats that file; it will not advance to a separate video. To play several videos in sequence, put them in a playlist-capable source and check its playlist, shuffle, and visibility settings. Streamlabs Desktop’s exact controls can vary by version, so verify the labels in your own source properties.
Why the same video starts again
A single-file media source and a playlist are different playback setups. The OBS Project documentation describes Media Source as selecting a media file, with Loop repeating that file after it finishes. Its VLC Video Source can instead hold multiple items in a playlist. As the OBS guide puts it, “Unlike Media Source, you can create a playlist of items, similar to an Image Slideshow.” OBS Project: Media Sources
This explains a common cause, but OBS documentation does not establish that every Streamlabs Desktop version has identical source types, controls, or labels. Check the actual source properties and note your Streamlabs Desktop version before applying a version-specific fix.
Check the source and playback settings

Identify the source type
In your scene, open the properties for the source that is playing. Determine whether it points to one media file or contains a playlist. Several separate Media Sources in a scene do not necessarily form a playlist that advances from one video to the next.

For a single video, check Loop and activation behavior
If the source is a single-file Media Source, turn
Loopoff if that clip should play only once. In OBS,Restart playback when source becomes activestarts the file over when the source becomes active in a visible scene; it does not select the next file. If the clip restarts after a scene change or visibility toggle, check whether that behavior is enabled. These setting names and effects are documented for OBS; confirm the equivalent controls in your Streamlabs Desktop release. -
For several videos, use a playlist-capable source
Add each intended video to the source’s playlist, then check the playlist-wide
Loop PlaylistandShuffle Playlistoptions. For a fixed sequence, leave shuffle off. Playlist looping controls whether playback returns to the start after the full list; it is distinct from looping a single file. OBS says its VLC Video Source requires VLC to be installed before that source appears in OBS. That requirement is specific to OBS and is not verified here for Streamlabs Desktop.Rank #2

Test visibility and scene changes
Play the sequence while the source remains visible in the active scene. Then test hiding it or switching scenes. A source configured to restart when it becomes active may begin its current file again after being hidden and shown. If the sequence behaves differently after a scene change, record the visibility and activation settings along with the result.
Rule out similarly named Streamlabs features
- Cloudbot Media Share: Streamlabs describes this as a way for viewers to request videos. It is a different workflow from configuring a local media file source to advance through a playlist. Streamlabs: Media Share

If the controls do not match
Do not assume an OBS setting exists under the same name in Streamlabs Desktop. Capture the source type, the full properties panel, and the exact Streamlabs Desktop version, then use those details when asking for version-specific help.
