The supplied research identifies Squid Game season 2 as a major Netflix release during the Canadian streaming week of December 23–29, 2024. But it does not establish a reliable, complete release calendar for Crave, Disney+ Canada and Netflix Canada for those dates. Rather than guess at titles or package requirements, this guide separates the confirmed highlight from what remains unverified.
Confirmed highlight: Squid Game season 2 on Netflix
Canadian coverage of the December 23–29, 2024 streaming week singled out the return of Squid Game as a major Netflix draw. That is the clearest title-specific release detail established in the available sources. The contemporary roundup is Tribute’s December 24, 2024 guide.
This is a historical date range, not a current-week schedule. The available research does not verify the exact Canadian release date within the week, a full list of Netflix additions, or a day-by-day calendar for Disney+ and Crave. It would be misleading to fill those gaps with US schedules, later catalogue listings or titles from a different year.
What the available sources establish
- Netflix: Squid Game season 2 was highlighted as a notable Netflix release during this week. Confirm the title’s Canadian listing through Netflix Canada.
- Crave: Bell Media publishes dated Crave availability overviews, but the supplied material does not provide a verified December 23–29, 2024 title slate. Its holiday-week overview is an example of the dated source needed to check arrivals.
- Disney+ Canada: No specific title or date for this week is established in the supplied research. The appropriate Canadian destination for title checks is Disney+ Canada.
Why a complete watch list needs more than a title mention
A weekly streaming roundup should distinguish a new series or film from a new episode, a returning season, or an older title newly added to a catalogue. It should also use Canadian availability dates rather than assuming that a US announcement applies here. If a platform lists a date but not a release time, the time should not be guessed.

Crave listings need particular care: Bell’s schedules separate programming by source and can include STARZ material, so a title appearing in a Crave overview does not by itself prove it is included in every Crave plan. Check the item’s package details and the live Crave subscription information before subscribing for one specific title.
For a historical schedule, the original weekly announcement is also not proof that every title remains available now. Check each Canadian service directly for present-day catalogue status and any language or package differences.
