Stranger Things Season 5, the series’ fifth and final season, premiered in three volumes in late 2025. The U.S. releases began November 26 and continued on December 25 and December 31; in many other regions, the local calendar dates were one day later. Here are the completed schedule, Netflix’s official premise, the three distinct trailer releases and all eight episode titles.
When did Stranger Things Season 5 come out?
Netflix released the season in three parts. In the United States, each installment was scheduled for 5 p.m. Pacific Time (8 p.m. Eastern). Because that time fell on the following calendar day in many regions, viewers outside the U.S. may see a different local date in Netflix’s schedule.
| Release | Episodes | U.S. date and time | Many other regions |
|---|---|---|---|
| Volume 1 | 1–4 | November 26, 2025, at 5 p.m. PT (8 p.m. ET) | November 27, 2025 |
| Volume 2 | 5–7 | December 25, 2025, at 5 p.m. PT (8 p.m. ET) | December 26, 2025 |
| The Finale | 8 | December 31, 2025, at 5 p.m. PT (8 p.m. ET) | January 1, 2026 |
Netflix’s schedule gives the U.S. release dates and explains that the listed local dates differ in many territories, including parts of Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. Check the official release schedule for the regional calendar. [c001]
What is the official Season 5 premise?
Netflix’s synopsis places the story in fall 1987, after the opening of the Rifts has scarred Hawkins. Vecna has disappeared, and the group’s goal is to find and kill him. The government puts Hawkins under military quarantine and steps up its pursuit of Eleven, who is forced into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, the friends face what Netflix describes as a final battle that will require the full party. This is Netflix’s promotional setup, rather than a scene-by-scene account of the season. [c002] [c003]

Which Stranger Things Season 5 trailers were released?
Netflix published three different videos tied to the season. They serve different purposes, so “the trailer” can refer to more than one release.
- Teaser, September 4, 2025: Netflix Tudum’s teaser page introduces the setup and includes a transcript. [c003]
- Full-season trailer, October 30, 2025: Netflix’s trailer page identifies this as the Season 5 trailer and provides a transcript. Series co-creator Ross Duffer described the season’s pace: “We usually set up their normal life and how they’re going about school, and then we introduce the supernatural element. But in this case, this season is sprinting from the start.” [c002]
- Finale trailer, December 30, 2025: Netflix released a separate final trailer ahead of the concluding episode. [c002]
What are the Season 5 episode titles?
Netflix lists eight episodes. The second title includes an ellipsis, as shown in the official guide. [c003]

Is there official Season 5 merchandise or a soundtrack?
Netflix’s official shop has a Season 5 merchandise collection featuring apparel, posters, mugs and accessories; inventory and regional availability can change. [c005] Sony Music Vinyl lists the official soundtrack from the Netflix series as a standard black LP. That confirms the release, but not a current marketplace listing or availability in a particular country. [c004] Netflix’s corporate announcement also named the LEGO Icons Stranger Things: The Creel House set and other licensed collaborations. [c006]
