Stranger Things Season 5 has already premiered. In the United States, Netflix released the final season in three installments: four episodes on November 26, 2025, three episodes on December 25, 2025, and the finale on December 31, 2025. Each installment became available at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
All five seasons of Stranger Things, including the complete fifth and final season, are now streaming on Netflix.
Stranger Things Season 5 release schedule
The release schedule below uses U.S. dates. Netflix released Season 5 in three parts rather than putting the entire final season online at once.
| Installment | Episodes | U.S. Netflix release date | Release time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Volume 1 | 4 | November 26, 2025 | 5:00 p.m. PT |
| Volume 2 | 3 | December 25, 2025 | 5:00 p.m. PT |
| The Finale | 1 | December 31, 2025 | 5:00 p.m. PT |
That means the final episode was released in the U.S. on New Year’s Eve 2025. If you are reading this after the final installment, there is no remaining Season 5 release date to wait for: the season is complete.

What time did Season 5 release on Netflix?
Netflix scheduled all three Season 5 installments for 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time in the United States. The equivalent time depends on your location and the date used in your region. Netflix’s international schedule listed different local calendar dates for many European and other markets, often showing the release on the following day.
For that reason, viewers outside the United States should not convert the U.S. date alone without checking their local Netflix listing. The U.S. schedule is November 26, December 25, and December 31; your local date may differ even though the global release moment is the same.
Where to watch Stranger Things Season 5
The complete series is available on Netflix. Season 5 does not require a separate live-TV service, digital purchase, or physical box set for the primary viewing experience. Netflix’s official coverage confirms that the finale and every previous episode are available on the service.
Availability can still vary by country, subscription status, and future licensing changes. If Season 5 does not appear in your account, check that you are using the correct regional Netflix catalog, update the app or browser, and search for the series directly rather than relying only on the home-screen recommendations.

What is Stranger Things Season 5 about?
Spoiler-free summary: The final season takes place in the fall of 1987, after Hawkins has been scarred by the opening of the Rifts. The central group is united in an effort to find and kill Vecna, while the government has placed Hawkins under military quarantine. Eleven is being hunted and forced into hiding, and the approaching anniversary of Will Byers’s disappearance hangs over the final battle.
Season 5 is the fifth and final season of the series. The synopsis above is intentionally limited to Netflix’s pre-watch description and does not reveal character outcomes, the ending, or major twists.
Need a refresher before watching?
If you have not watched the earlier seasons recently, Netflix’s official Stranger Things coverage includes recaps and explainers for Seasons 1 through 4. A Season 4 recap is particularly useful because Season 5 begins with Hawkins dealing with the consequences of the Rifts and the conflict with Vecna.
Netflix’s broader franchise coverage also includes a history of the series told through 11 objects. That can work as a lighter refresher if you want to revisit the show’s major settings, characters, and mythology without rewatching all four previous seasons.

Official books and merchandise
Books and merchandise are optional companion products; they are not needed to stream Season 5. For readers who want a physical keepsake or a way to revisit the franchise away from the screen, a Stranger Things book can be a more relevant purchase than a streaming accessory.
Netflix promoted Stranger Things: The Official Story Behind the Legendary Series as a deluxe behind-the-scenes companion covering all five seasons. The book includes creator and cast interviews, photographs, script excerpts, concept art, storyboards, costume photography, and maps. Netflix gave it a June 30, 2026 release date and described it as exclusive to Target; Target’s product information describes it as an official companion to the complete series. Retail stock and regional availability may change.
Other official franchise products include coloring and activity books, additional Stranger Things companion books, Casio collaboration watches, Nike footwear and apparel, Gap apparel, and Hasbro Transformers x Stranger Things figures. These products are licensed merchandise rather than substitutes for Netflix access, and availability depends on the retailer, country, date, and inventory.
