Stevie Nicks’ Bella Donna Barbie recreates the white outfit from the cover of her 1981 debut solo album. It is her second Barbie Signature tribute: the earlier doll represents her black-clad Rumours era, while Nicks says the two together tell a broader story of her musical life.
What is Stevie Nicks’ Bella Donna Barbie?
Mattel identifies the collectible as the Barbie Stevie Nicks Bella Donna Doll, model JBJ45. The look is based on the cover of Bella Donna, Nicks’s first solo album, released in 1981. Mattel describes the album as multiplatinum and as the release that launched her solo career; its product page does not give a sales total or certification year. Why Nicks wanted the white look represented
In an interview published by PEOPLE reporter Bailey Richards and reproduced by Yahoo News on October 21, 2025, Nicks explained that the new doll was meant to stand alongside the earlier black-clad Barbie. For the Bella Donna cover, she said, “No. I have to wear the exact opposite. I have to wear all-white.” She added that she eventually returned to black.
Of the dolls together, Nicks said, “They’re a story of my whole musical life.” She described them as part of what she leaves behind: “If I have a legacy, if I have ‘What do I leave behind that is sacred?’ I think that it’d be Barbie. How the doll is styled and what comes in the box
Mattel’s description centers on the white cover outfit: a flowing dress with a ruched bodice, sheer dramatic sleeves and an asymmetric hem. The styling includes a top hat, tall white boots, a microphone, beaded earrings and long golden waves. Mattel Creations credits Carlyle Nuera as doll designer and Laydiana Chiv as packaging designer; the page also lists a Stevie Nicks face sculpt and an articulated original body type.
Mattel lists one doll, two accessories, a doll stand and a Certificate of Authenticity among the contents. Its shop listing recommends the doll for ages 6 and up and says it cannot stand alone without the stand. The packaging is designed for display.

How it differs from the earlier Stevie Nicks Barbie
The distinction is the musical era and outfit each doll evokes, not a documented difference in quality or scarcity. The earlier tribute is associated with the Rumours era and wears black; the Bella Donna doll recreates the white album-cover look. Nicks’s explanation makes the contrast intentional: the white ensemble was the opposite of black, before she later returned to her signature dark styling.
Release and price details to interpret carefully
Mattel Creations listed a Club 59 member window from October 21, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. PT through October 22, 2025, at 8:59 p.m. PT. The page viewed for that listing showed the pre-order sold out. Those are historical launch details, not confirmation of current stock or availability from any retailer.

The interview also connected the dolls to Nicks’s ongoing relationship with the songs. It identifies “Edge of Seventeen” as a prominent track from Bella Donna and mentions “Outside the Rain” and the title track among songs she continues to perform. Nicks said in that October 2025 interview that she kept the dolls near her in the studio while working on a forthcoming album and had plans for a photo book of the dolls; those comments describe what she said at the time, not a confirmation of current plans.
