Steven Spielberg’s new science-fiction film is Disclosure Day, and Amblin’s official film page lists an “Official Teaser Trailer.” The studio’s published description centers on proof that humanity is not alone and what happens when that truth becomes public—but the page does not identify a specific still as the first teaser image or describe what it shows.
What is Spielberg’s new alien movie?
Disclosure Day is an original science-fiction event film directed by Steven Spielberg and written by David Koepp, based on a story by Spielberg. Amblin’s official film page lists the teaser trailer and gives the theatrical release date as June 12, 2026.
The official synopsis poses a question: if someone proved that humanity was not alone, would the person receiving that proof be frightened? It then frames the truth as belonging to the world’s population. The studio copy leaves the specifics of the discovery and its consequences open; it does not establish who or what is encountered, or what that presence intends.
What does the first teaser image show?
The available official page confirms that a teaser trailer exists, but its text does not describe a still or label any particular image as the first teaser image. So the headline’s wording should not be taken as confirmation that the official page identifies a specific frame or reveals an alien design.

GamesRadar+ later described a separate promotional clip showing a creature’s very thin fingers around a child’s face, while noting that the creature’s intentions were not disclosed. Who is in the cast?
NBCUniversal names Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, and Colman Domingo among the cast. Its June 10, 2026 announcement promoted the film’s June 12 theatrical release.

Where and when can you watch Disclosure Day?
The theatrical date has passed. Universal Pictures Home Entertainment says digital availability began July 21, 2026, followed by 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on August 25, 2026. Its home-entertainment fact sheet gives format-specific technical and bonus-feature details for viewers choosing an edition.
