What happens in “Night”?
After a blast leaves Osha recovering, she wakes to find the Stranger fighting Jedi in Khofar’s forest. Sol stays behind to face the masked warrior, while Yord tries to escort Osha to the ship.
Mae hears the Jedi calling for her sister. She takes Kelnacca’s lightsaber and follows the voices, where she encounters Jecki, who intends to arrest her. The forest battle turns lethal, killing multiple characters as the Jedi struggle against an opponent whose tactics and equipment disrupt their usual advantages.

Osha uses Pip to create a diversion involving the umbramoths. As morning comes, Osha and Mae see one another again, bringing the episode to a tense reunion rather than a resolution of the season’s wider mysteries.
Who is the Stranger?
The masked warrior is Qimir, played by Manny Jacinto. The identity reveal comes during the fight, making the scene both a turning point in the conflict and a major answer to the series’ central mystery about the Stranger.
In a StarWars.com interview with the stunt team, the filmmakers describe the Stranger’s cortosis armor and gauntlet as tools that can disrupt Jedi abilities and lightsabers. The gear helps explain why the Jedi’s training and weapons do not give them a straightforward advantage in the encounter.
How the Khofar fight was made
The stunt-team interview says the action drew on wushu, kung fu, and samurai influences. Choreography and camera work were designed to make the fight feel dangerous while protecting the cast and stunt performers.

Action director Christopher Clark Cowan recalled his reaction to the episode-five outline and briefing: “This is our Red Wedding. It’s nuts.” That is his description of the production’s plans for the episode, not a critical verdict on the finished episode.
