A spotless public image is not evidence of private conduct. The available reporting supports four carefully qualified examples—not a verified lineup of ten—and they differ in an important way: some involve admissions, while others are claims recounted by the people involved. Here is what the cited sources establish, and what they do not.
How to read these cases
“Squeaky clean” describes a public image, not a finding about a person’s character. The examples below are limited to what the cited reporting says. An admission, a memoir account, and an allegation are not interchangeable forms of evidence.

Mark Owen: an admission reported in 2010
What was reported
In March 2010, Glamour UK reported that Take That singer Mark Owen admitted to affairs with ten women while in a long-term relationship with Emma Ferguson, and described his public image as “squeaky clean.” RTÉ’s contemporaneous report said Owen acknowledged the pain he had caused his wife and friends and reported that the affairs involved “as many as ten women.” Those numbers belong to the 2010 reporting of his admission; they should not be treated as a separately verified count.
Evidence and response
This example rests on a reported admission. RTÉ relayed Owen’s description of himself as “not very nice to live with,” quoting his confession to The Sun rather than an interview conducted by RTÉ.

Tiger Woods: an admission amid 2009 allegations
What was reported
In December 2009, ABC News reported that multiple women’s allegations had surfaced and that Woods had admitted infidelity. The admission is distinct from claims made by individual women and from media tallies of alleged affairs.
Evidence and response
ABC’s coverage referred to “at least nine” women linked to alleged affairs. That was a figure in the outlet’s 2009 reporting, not a confirmed count of affairs by Woods. The reliable distinction is that Woods admitted infidelity; the individual allegations and tally remain claims reported at the time.

Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake: memoir accounts, not independent findings
What Spears wrote
TIME’s October 2023 account of Britney Spears’s memoir The Woman in Me says Spears alleged that Timberlake had been unfaithful several times during their relationship. The same report says Spears acknowledged kissing backup dancer Wade Robson, which she said was motivated by Timberlake’s indiscretions.
Evidence and dispute status
These are accounts attributed to Spears in her memoir, as summarized by TIME; they are not independent verification of Timberlake’s alleged conduct. The account also includes Spears’s admission about kissing Robson, rather than presenting her only as the subject of a claim.

Valerie Bertinelli: a reported discussion of infidelity
What was reported
Us Weekly reported in 2020 that Bertinelli discussed cheating on her then-husband, Eddie Van Halen, in a REELZ documentary. Its article connected the contrast with her earlier public profile to Barbara Cooper, the “squeaky-clean” character she played on One Day at a Time.
Evidence and scope
This is a secondary report about what Bertinelli discussed in the documentary. The cited article supports the broad description above; it does not establish further details here.

David Beckham and Rebecca Loos are sometimes included in retrospective discussions of celebrity affairs. Marie Claire Australia’s author/tag page says Loos made an affair allegation and Beckham denied it. That is a disputed claim, not an established admission or finding, and the cited page is a retrospective landing page rather than strong underlying documentation. It is therefore not counted here as a proven case.

Why this is not a verified list of ten
The reporting available for this topic supports the four examples above, but does not establish the exact ten people implied by the original title. Expanding the list to reach ten would risk treating disputed or weakly sourced stories as facts. The defensible approach is to distinguish what a person admitted, what someone alleged, and what remains contested.
