That is disappointing, but it is not a cancellation. As of August 12, 2026, the most accurate description is that SPY x FAMILY Season 4 remains officially unannounced, with the next major opportunity for news scheduled for November.
Season 4 was not announced after the Season 3 finale
Season 3 ended on December 27, 2025. According to ORICON’s report on the post-finale update, the finale did not include an announcement confirming Season 4 production or another theatrical film.

The absence of news is notable because the series has continued to receive substantial promotional support. Could Anime Extra Mission II announce Season 4?

Those are separate facts. “Season 4 has not been announced yet” does not mean “Season 4 has been canceled.” It means that the production status and timing have not been publicly confirmed.
Likewise, the ongoing manga, merchandise, home-video releases, and events should not be treated as proof that a new season is already in production. They demonstrate continuing franchise activity, not a specific television-production decision.
