It follows counselor Mr. Mackey as budget cuts push him toward a job with ICE, while taking aim at Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. The episode’s most pointed response to current events, however, was not a scene: it was the show’s social-media reply to a White House ICE recruitment post. A separate Noem-focused post-credits scene appeared in the Paramount+ version, not the original Comedy Central premiere.
What happens in “Got A Nut”?
The official South Park season listing identifies “Got A Nut” as season 27, episode 2, dated August 6, 2025. Its synopsis centers on Clyde asking students to “prove him wrong,” with Cartman taking on the challenge.
In the episode’s political storyline, counselor Mr. Mackey is fired amid budget cuts and then takes a job with ICE. The story also satirizes Noem, who is portrayed as an ICE leader, with jokes referring to her account in her memoir that she shot her dog, Cricket, because it was aggressive. That reference is the basis for the satire; the show’s fictional scenes are not documentary footage or a literal account of events in a pet store.
What was the “best satirizing” that wasn’t in the episode?
The phrase points to a social-media exchange outside the episode itself. After the White House account used South Park-style ICE imagery in a recruitment post, the show’s official account replied: “wait, so we ARE relevant? #eatabagofd*cks.” TechRadar reported the exchange on August 7, 2025. The reply was an online clapback, not a scene viewers missed while watching the episode.

What was the “Got A Nut” post-credits scene?
A separate after-credits scene extended the Noem joke, showing her shooting at puppies in a pet store, according to Variety and TheWrap. The official South Park account shared the scene on August 11, 2025. The outlets reported that it was included with the Paramount+ version but not in the original Comedy Central premiere.
| Viewing version or material | What was reported |
|---|---|
| Comedy Central premiere | The Noem-focused post-credits scene was not included in the original cable airing, according to TheWrap. |
| Paramount+ version | The version included the additional post-credits scene, according to Variety and TheWrap. |
| Official social-media post | The show’s reply to the White House recruitment post happened online, outside both episode versions. |
The reason for the cable and streaming difference has not been confirmed. Variety said it was unclear why the scene appeared on Paramount+ but not in the cable premiere; production timing was raised only as a possibility. These reports describe the August 2025 release and do not establish current streaming availability in every country.

Why was the season premiere controversial?
The context was the season 27 premiere, which satirized President Donald Trump and prompted criticism from the White House. At a July 2025 Comic-Con panel, co-creator Trey Parker responded, “We’re terribly sorry.” The Associated Press also reported the White House spokesperson’s criticism and described the premiere’s references to Paramount and the company’s settlement with Trump. Those details concern the premiere, not “Got A Nut.”
Noem also objected to jokes about her appearance, Variety reported, saying: “It’s so lazy to constantly make fun of women for how they look.” That complaint is distinct from the episode’s ICE storyline and the post-credits gag.
