The collaboration ended February 5, 2026, so it is no longer an upcoming event.
What came to Fortnite?
Epic Games announced the collaboration on January 8, 2026, and released the content the next day. Its announcement named Stan, Kyle, Cartman, Kenny and Butters as characters available in the Shop. It also introduced Cartmanland as a point of interest and a five-player Quints playlist on the Golden Coast.

Epic’s announcement gave the pass and collaboration a January 9–February 5, 2026 run. The “No V-Bucks required” description applied to this event pass; it does not establish that every collaboration item in the Shop was free.
What was the Stick of Truth reference?
The Stick of Truth in Fortnite was a collaboration gameplay item, not the standalone South Park: The Stick of Truth video game. GameSpot identified the reference as drawing on that 2014 game, but playing it was not required for the Fortnite event. GameSpot’s January 6, 2026 report covered the teaser and the reference before Epic’s official announcement.

What happened between the teaser and release?
On January 6, 2026, GameSpot reported a Fortnite teaser reading “Chaos, loading…” with the date “1.9.26” and described specific collaboration details as rumors or leaks at that time. Epic announced the event on January 8, then released it January 9.
Epic’s March 5, 2026 complaint says information about the unannounced collaboration was posted on January 6. That chronology is the account in a party’s court filing, not an adjudicated finding about the broader allegations in the complaint. The event itself and its features are confirmed separately in Epic’s announcement.
Where can viewers watch South Park?
The South Park Studios news page currently directs viewers to watch Season 29 on Paramount+. That page identifies a viewing destination, but does not establish subscription pricing or availability in every region. South Park Studios’ news page is the official source for that current direction.
