What the partnership does
Ticketmaster announced the partnership on 25 February 2025. Its announcement describes events appearing on SoundCloud artist profiles and in a homepage discovery widget powered by Ticketmaster event data. The homepage recommendations can be sorted by city, time and genre. Fans follow links to Ticketmaster or Universe to complete a purchase; the announcement does not describe checkout taking place inside SoundCloud. How artists create and list an event
The integrated creation and ticket-selling route is Universe. SoundCloud describes Universe as Ticketmaster’s self-serve general-admission event platform, and says Artist Pro artists can create and sell tickets for live events through the integration. In the setup guide, an artist starts from the On Tour widget on their SoundCloud profile; Universe then provides event-management functions. Not every listed event has to be created in Universe
Universe is the documented integrated workflow for creating and selling tickets from SoundCloud, but it is not the only possible event destination. Ticketmaster says artists can link to Ticketmaster and Universe events. TechCrunch also reported that SoundCloud can draw event data from other ticketing platforms, including Dice, and lets artists select events or add links to other ticketing services. The official pages reviewed do not provide an exhaustive provider list or spell out the rules for every external platform. TechCrunch’s report describes those additional event sources and links.

TechCrunch reported that SoundCloud takes an unspecified cut from affiliate ticket sales made through Ticketmaster links. No percentage was given, and that report does not establish that the same terms apply to Universe sales. Artists should confirm applicable fees and terms with the relevant service before promoting an event.
