There is an important qualification, however: investor materials are prepared for corporate and financial audiences. They can describe an approved project, a production commitment, or an expected business roadmap while still leaving room for changes to the format, schedule, episode count, or release strategy. They do not necessarily function as the public-facing announcement issued by the anime’s production committee, studio, or distributor.
So the responsible headline is not “Season 3’s release date is officially confirmed.” It is: D&C Media’s investor materials indicate that Season 3 is moving forward, with a projected 2027–2028 window, while a formal viewer-facing Season 3 announcement remains absent.
What is officially announced right now?
The directly announced next installment in the franchise is Solo Leveling: Beyond the System, a theatrical project.

Why the movie does not automatically replace Season 3
Some fans have interpreted the theatrical project as evidence that a third television season has been abandoned. The available evidence does not support that conclusion.

That distinction matters. “The producers are interested in another season,” “work is underway,” “the franchise is expected to continue,” and “Season 3 has a confirmed 2027 premiere” are four different claims. What fans can do while waiting
The safest way to revisit the story is through the licensed English source material rather than an unverified “Season 3” product or leaked schedule.
